Procedure
Go to the Portfolio Overview page and select any +Alert! the contains a baseline link or the 7221 baseline error that is displayed.
Note: You can also access BasisPro™ by clicking the Baseline Positions are missing purchase data alert on the Check-Up page.
Click Baseline. The Initial Baseline Process page displays.
Select the investment to edit and click Use BasisPro. The BasisPro page displays.
A step-by-step guide will enable you to enter your investment information and continue through the interview until you reach the Cost Basis Results page. You will be asked about your buy (bought at one time, bought at different times or inherited). You will then enter the purchase date(s) and whether or not dividends were reinvested. Verify the stock prices and then you can view the cost basis results.
Once the Cost Basis Results page displays, you can record the transaction by clicking the Record Transaction button. If your account already contains a baseline transaction, you can overwrite the transaction by selecting the Yes, overwrite existing transaction checkbox on the Cost Basis Results page.
