How do I fix mistakes?
Answer
To edit an incorrect entry in your account, do the following:
Reminder: GainsKeeper adjusts your cost basis for corporate actions and for wash sales. These adjustments are required. You should not edit your trades simply to change the cost basis. Click here for information on when to edit transactions.
Find the trade you want to edit using the Trade Log feature located in the GainsTracker section of the site.
Click the Trade Type link to edit the trade.
Note: Do not use the Symbol link - this will not allow you to edit the trade.
An Edit window containing the current trade information displays. Make the appropriate changes and click Record save your changes.
Note: If you need to undo any of the changes made, click the Reset button. This will only work if you have not clicked the Record button.
