Conlon tax director for its GainsKeeper® product family, which provides automated tax-based financial tools and services to financial and tax professionals and individual investors. As GainsKeeper's tax director, Conlon will provide tax expertise for all GainsKeeper products.

Conlon has advised financial institutions, investment banks and mutual funds on tax-related issues for more than 15 years. She was previously senior tax editor for CCH Capital Changes, a part of Wolters Kluwer Financial Services that provides detailed tax information and analysis, as well as daily summaries of corporate actions affecting publicly traded securities of both U.S. and foreign companies. GainsKeeper's cost basis calculator, BasisPro, relies on the industry standard tax analysis provided by CCH Capital Changes to automatically calculate historical cost basis for all equities traded on any U.S. stock exchange.

"Stevie's experience with CCH Capital Changes and her extensive law and accounting background will undoubtedly be major assets to our GainsKeeper team and clients," said Chuck Ross, general manager, GainsKeeper. "Our customer focus means we are committed to providing solutions that simplify the tax reporting process with a team of professionals who can help our customers through their most difficult tax-planning concerns."

As senior tax editor and analyst for CCH Capital Changes Reporter, a reference guide covering the federal tax consequences of capital changes for more than 58,000 corporations and organizations, Conlon provided insight and expertise to financial institutions and individual investors trying to sort through complicated tax issues. In addition, she was one of the tax professionals to launch CCH Capital Changes' Top Ten Corporate Actions, an annual list and summary of the most challenging corporate actions facing financial institutions and investors.

Before joining CCH Capital Changes, Conlon was a sole practitioner, attorney at law, on taxation of financial products. She was previously a tax partner in the Chicago offices of the national and international law firms Katten Muchin Rosenman, Baker & McKenzie, and Chapman and Cutler. Earlier in her career, she was a tax accountant at Arthur Young and Co.

Conlon earned a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Loyola University of Chicago. She is also a Certified Public Accountant, former chair of the Financial Transactions committee of the American Bar Association Tax Section and a member of the American College of Tax Counsel.
