How can I record stock transactions?

You can record your transactions for stocks and ADRs that trade publicly on a US exchange by selecting Stock from the Record Trades link in GainsTracker. Under stock, you will be presented with a menu of options, including:
Buy - Record purchase information.
Sell - Record sales information.
Sell by ID - Record a sell using the Specific ID method.
Short Sell - Record open short activity.
Cover Short - Record closing short activity.
Cover Against the Box - Record shares actually owned by the seller, but held in the box, meaning they are held for safekeeping.
DivRe - Record dividend reinvestments or capital gains reinvestments.
LT Capital Gain RE - Record a long-term capital gain reinvestment.
ST Capital Gain RE - Record a short-term capital gain reinvestment.
Withdraw - Remove shares from your account in the unusual cases that do not incur a gain or loss, such as gifted shares or voluntary corporate actions.
Deposit - Add shares to your account received in unusual cases such as inheritance, gifts, or voluntary corporate actions.
Adjusted Lot - Record a long position in your account that you do not want tracked before a certain date (baseline date), that includes all cost information and any adjustments to the position prior to that date.
Adjusted Short - Record a short position in your account that you do not want tracked before a certain date (baseline date), that includes all proceeds information and any adjustments to the position prior to that date.
Cash in Lieu - Record cash for fractions transactions to remove fractional shares in your account.
Voluntary Corp Actions - Access a page containing a submenu to record voluntary corporate actions.
