Can I record securities that are not currently tracked by GainsKeeper?
Answer
You can record securities we do not currently track, such as private placements or foreign securities, by selecting Other from GainsTracker>Record Trades. You will initially need to define the symbol by entering the ticker in the Symbol field and clicking Verify. An error message with a link to Add the symbol displays. Once you have added the symbol, you can continue adding future trades using the Other option, or you can import trades from the position by changing the trade type from Stock to Other in the import file. Positions entered with the Other feature will not be priced or adjusted for corporate actions.
