Can I designate my margin purchases from my cash purchases?
Answer
You cannot denote your margin purchases from your cash purchases. This information is not necessary to track your cost basis information or to prepare your Schedule D. We also do not currently provide an area for you to record your margin interest. This expense is reported on your Schedule A.
