Check-Up: Voluntary Corporate Actions

Considerations

If this alert displays on the Check-Up page, it means that a decision is required regarding a voluntary corporate action, such as a tender offer. If you have elected to participate in a voluntary action, verify the amount of cash and/or shares you received as a result of the corporate action, with your broker. Select the appropriate option from the list displayed on the Check-Up: Voluntary Corporate Actions page, in order to update your portfolio.

Note: Once you have selected the appropriate option, and processed the corporate action, additional missing corporate actions may exist. The Check-Up feature will list possible missing corporate action options that need to be processed.

 

Procedure

To view voluntary corporate actions from the Check-Up page:

  1. Click the Show button next to the Voluntary corporate action selection needs to be recorded alert. The Check-Up: Voluntary Corporate Actions page displays.

  2. Select the corporate action option by clicking the appropriate radio button.

  3. Once you have selected the appropriate option, click the Process button. if there are additional corporate action options that need to be recorded, they will display on this page.

  4. Follow the above procedure to select and process any additional voluntary corporate actions.
